Auraria v1.7.0-a

This release introduces point-and-click movement: hold Alt and click anywhere on the map to walk there, talk to someone, or step through a door, instead of steering tile by tile. A handful of follow-up polish makes it work reliably against obstacles, doors, and moving targets, plus a settings toggle if you’d rather not see the path drawn.

New

  • Pressing Alt now toggles a point-and-click movement mode: the cursor turns into a crosshair, and hovering the map highlights the tile underneath it (gold when something’s standing there). Click a tile to walk there, or click an NPC, monster, or gathering node to walk up to it, face it, and interact automatically — a single click now starts a conversation, begins gathering, or engages an enemy. Press Alt again to leave the mode.
  • Clicking a tile that’s blocked by an obstacle, a monster, or an NPC now still walks you right up next to it and turns you to face it, so targets standing on solid ground are no longer unreachable. While walking a clicked path, a red line traces the remaining route on the map and shrinks as you go, so you can see exactly where you’re headed.
  • Clicking a door now walks you to it, turns you to face it, and opens it for you, taking you through to the other side — and doors light up gold on hover just like other interactable targets. Clicking a moving target, like an NPC that wanders off, keeps the chase going until you catch up, unless it disappears first. When autopilot is steering you (for example while auto-following a route), its remaining path is now drawn on the map too, and the line is a bit darker and thicker so it’s easier to follow. A new “Show walk path when clicking to move” checkbox in the settings menu (on by default) lets you turn both of these path lines off if you’d rather not see them.
