Auraria v1.3.0-a

This release makes fishing and cooking more rewarding to dig into, keeps you closer to your friends, and squashes a batch of nagging visual and combat bugs.

New

  • Fishing bait has arrived at the general store in three tiers: Worm, Glow Worm, and Golden Worm. Cast with bait and you’ll bite more often and land better fish than a bare hook ever could, with the best bait in your bag spent automatically on each cast.
  • The friends window now shows where your online friends are, whether they’re out in Auraria Forest, back in town, or deep inside a dungeon like the Slime Den.
  • Cooking ingredients now carry their own hidden properties. Berries and apples bring healing, fish bring vitality, mushrooms bring intellect, and so on, combine ingredients with different properties and your dish will grant a buff for each one.
  • Friends now announce themselves in chat when they log in or out, so you don’t have to keep an eye on the friends list to know who’s around.
  • The chef’s kitchen now offers a “Cook repeatedly” option that keeps pulling ingredients from your bag and cooking until you run out or your bag fills up.
  • Offering items in a trade now lets you choose how many from a stack to offer, instead of always handing over the whole thing.

Fixes

  • Side-facing enemies like snakes, vipers, and marauders no longer appear to walk backwards, and a few enemies whose art was mirrored the wrong way now face the correct direction.
  • Flying enemies like bats, wasps, and wisps no longer make footstep sounds while gliding around.
  • Right-clicking a friend to view their character or invite them to a party now works reliably, even if they’ve recently passed through a portal.
