Auraria v1.2.0-a
This release is all about connecting with other players and surviving the world a little better. You can now build a friends list, whisper each other privately, and block anyone you’d rather not hear from, plus there’s a whole new set of life skills to try out, and dying is a lot less punishing.
New
- Build a friends list right from another player’s context menu or the friends window: search for players by name, send requests, and see who’s online at a glance.
- Whisper any player in their own dedicated chat window, request to talk from their context menu, or message a friend directly with no consent needed.
- Block players you don’t want to hear from. Blocking silences their chat, party invites, trade requests, and friend requests, and you can manage your blocked list from the friends window.
- Never miss a message again: chat you haven’t read now shows an unread badge, flashes the window’s title bar, and marks where you left off with a NEW MESSAGES divider.
- View another player’s character sheet, their class, level, HP, gear, and attributes, from their context menu or the friends list.
- On mobile, just tap a character to open the same context menu you’d get from a desktop right-click.
- Fish any body of water, forage wild produce bare-handed, and cook it all into dishes at the town chef. Good cooking gives buffs and healing; burnt attempts can be distilled into vials you can throw at enemies for a debuff.
- Dying no longer sends you straight back to spawn. A death screen now lets you choose to respawn at the dungeon entrance or head back to town, at the cost of a small XP penalty.
- The house icon is now used for the favicon, the installable app icon, and the blog’s brand mark.
Fixes
- Leveling up no longer wipes out the extra max HP your gear was giving you.
- Heavy Hitter now procs correctly even when another enchant lands the final mark on the very same hit.
- Replayed chat history now shows character names instead of account usernames.
- Autopilot now properly disengages the moment you die, instead of fighting the game to keep moving.
